This 1983 play focuses on 8 women living in an insane asylum, each one believing to be a famous woman from history. The characters are all named after what their costumes are leaving the audience guessing who they may or may not be. Woman in Safari outfit is supposedly explorer Osa Johnson. The other women include author Gertrude Stein, martyr Joan of Arc, activist Susan B. Anthony, politician Queen Isabella of Spain, wife of composer - Constanze Mozart, pilot Amelia Earhart and actress Pearl White. The short play depicts a meeting where the women decide what to do about the rumours that the male ward may overthrow them.
