A Little Bio

Emma has been performing from a young age, taking part in plays, drama clubs, and theatre schools, most notably The Oast Youth Theatre and The Pauline Quirke Academy. She also obtained a Drama GCSE and an A* in A Level Theatre Studies.

At 16, she performed in The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman, a true story of a hate crime told verbatim through interviews about Matthew Shephard who was murdered for being gay. She realised the importance of storytelling and it excited her that through their multi-rolled performance they could make people question society’s problems.

Emma has always had a passion for understanding identity and society, being a half-Israeli, Jewish woman from a working class background, which led her to achieve a first-class BSc in Politics and International Relations and a Masters in International Relations.

At University, while participating in the theatre society, Emma was accepted into the National Youth Theatre. She was fortunate enough to work with director Francesca Murray-Fuentes as well as award-winning Mei Mac. Since, she has been pushing herself within the industry: playing Lydia Truscott in RC Sheriff’s The White Carnation, having her first lead role in a short film playing Lily in Meeting Agnes, working on film-related projects and commercials and working with the National Youth Theatre as a Course Assistant.

Currently, Emma is working as a freelance facilitator, social media manager and content creator. She loves working on anything creative and aims to blend her love for acting and story-telling into everything she does. In her free time, Emma enjoys knitting and crochet, pottery, swimming, yoga, spending time in nature, photography and playing music.
